Angela Alfaro is a board-certified family medicine physician and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice who founded The Alfa Doc LLC, a personalized integrative and functional medicine practice. During her years of practicing conventional family medicine, Dr. Alfaro felt that patients were not getting the answers they needed but were shuffled off to different specialties and no one was concentrating on the root cause of a person’s condition. It seemed that patients did not have an expert to turn to and had to search for their own answers by consulting the Internet, family, and friends. By using her skills of listening, problem-solving, humor, and approach-ability, Dr. Alfaro partners with her patients for the best outcomes possible and never stops searching for WHY.

After completing her medical degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa Florida, she completed her family medicine residency training at the Florida Hospital Family Practice Residency Program in Orlando Florida.  On a lifetime quest for answers, she completed a Master of Health Informatics degree at the University of South Florida and most recently completed a Master of Health Sciences in Integrative Medicine degree from George Washington University in Washington D.C. She completed a Fellowship in Metabolic & Nutritional Medicine with The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and holds a board certification in anti-aging and regenerative medicine (ABAARM). 

She has a wonderful family with four beautiful children and an extremely supportive husband. This foundation has allowed her to grow into a very sensitive and deeply caring physician. She wouldn’t advise her patients to do something that she wouldn’t recommend for herself or her own family. You can often find dinner time to be a place of in-depth discussions and conversations about the day. Dr. Alfaro invites you to pull up a seat and join the conversation in regards to your own health and wellness rather than just be a bystander accepting the way things are.
